Biography

Dr. Umesh Khanduri currently serves as Assistant Professor (Grade - I) in the Department of Mathematics at the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. He earned his PhD in Bio Fluid Dynamics from BITS Pilani, pilani campus, Pilani, Rajasthan, in 2024. During his doctoral studies, he published several research articles in prestigious refereed journals indexed in, SCIE and Scopus.

He completed his B.Sc. in 2014 from P.G.D.A.V. College, University of Delhi and completed his Master’s degree in Mathematics from the same institution in 2016. He was awarded his doctorate from BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, Rajasthan in 2024. He qualified CSIR NET-JRF in 2018 (AIR 39) and GATE exam in 2018 with AIR 170.

His teaching experience includes assistant professor positions at Department of Mathematics, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun. With a strong academic profile and extensive research experience in mathematical biology, modeling, and analysis, Dr. Khanduri is dedicated to nurturing a love for mathematics and equipping his students with the skills to excel in their academic pursuits.

Research Highlights

His research interests lie in developing new mathematical models related to fluid dynamics and solving these models using advanced mathematical tools. During his Ph.D. tenure, he acquired proficiency in various numerical techniques such as, the finite difference method (FDM), the shooting method, homotopy perturbation method (HPM) and the Method of Lines (MOL) for solving governing equations in the mathematical model. He has published 12 research papers that employ these numerical methods, including the Crank–Nicolson scheme (a variant of FDM) and, more recently, the MOL approach. He possesses strong subject knowledge and is proficient in MATLAB, Mathematica, and other relevant software tools.
