Department Overview

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at JIIT, NOIDA, established in 2001, is committed to enriching technical education with humanistic and social perspectives. The department fosters critical thinking, ethical awareness, and leadership by offering interdisciplinary courses in communication, psychology, sociology, economics, and management. Faculty with diverse academic and industry backgrounds in India and abroad contribute to the department’s academic excellence. The department promote advanced research and holistic development.

The Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum is designed to ensure that the graduates of this program combine the following important abilities and skills:

Knowledge across Sociology, Psychology, Economics, English, Finance, Marketing, HR, Political Science, Media Studies, and Life Skills.
Critical thinking and analytical skills to address societal and behavioural challenges.
Effective communication, emotional intelligence, and teamwork.
Awareness of social, cultural, ethical, and environmental issues.
Interdisciplinary approach to real-world problems through applied social sciences.
