Biography

She has a strong academic background in Mathematics and over nine years of teaching experience in higher education. She completed her B.Sc. from Government College for Women, Ludhiana (affiliated with Punjab University, Chandigarh) from 2004 to 2007. She then pursued her M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computing from Thapar University between 2007 and 2009.

She qualified UGC NET in 2009, GATE in 2010, and was awarded the UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2011. She went on to complete her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Thapar University in 2014.

In August 2015, she joined St. Andrew's College for Arts, Science and Commerce, Bandra (W), Mumbai — affiliated with the University of Mumbai — where she served under a state government position. She taught there for nine years, actively engaging in undergraduate education until July 2024.

On 16th August 2024, she joined Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, to continue her journey in teaching. She is passionate about making mathematical concepts simple and engaging for students and remains dedicated to fostering a positive and effective learning environment.

Research Highlights

Her research focuses on Fixed Point Theory and its applications in generalized spaces. She began this journey during her Ph.D. at Thapar University, where she investigated the existence of fixed points for different types of mappings. Since then, she has maintained an active research profile, publishing several papers in reputed international journals.

Over the years, she has contributed to the development and generalization of fixed point results through a wide range of publications. Her work has appeared in internationally recognized journals such as Fixed Point Theory and Applications, Journal of Inequalities and Applications, Tbilisi Mathematical Journal, Journal of Nonlinear and Convex Analysis, Journal of Nonlinear Sciences and Applications, and Journal of Applied Research and Technology.

In recent years, she has expanded her research through collaborations with both national and international researchers. In 2025, she published multiple papers exploring new developments in fixed point theory, including advanced contraction principles and perturbed metric structures. These contributions were published in journals like AIMS Mathematics, Research in Mathematics, and Journal of Nonlinear and Convex Analysis.

Many of the journals where her research appears are indexed in SCIE, ESCI, and Scopus, providing strong academic visibility and global reach.

Her long-term goal is to continue contributing meaningfully to the field of fixed point theory while exploring its practical applications in areas such as mathematical modeling and data science. She is committed to producing high-quality research that bridges theoretical insights with real-world relevance.
