
Dr. Diwakar Sharma is working as an Assistant Professor with extensive expertise in biotechnology, molecular biology, and cancer research. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, where his doctoral research focused on deciphering the role and clinical significance of non-coding RNAs in pediatric Wilms Tumor. His academic background also includes an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Jamia Hamdard, where he developed strong foundations in molecular cloning, protein purification, and antibody development. Professionally, Dr. Sharma has served as Project Research Scientist I at AIIMS, New Delhi, advancing aptamer-based point-of-care diagnostic tools for sexually transmitted diseases, and has contributed significantly to pediatric oncology research, particularly in RNA biology and the establishment of diagnostic cytogenetics facilities. He has also led impactful environmental CSR initiatives, such as large-scale tree plantation drives to promote sustainability. His technical expertise spans primary/ secondary cell culture, FACS, PCR, cytogenetics, ELISA, molecular assays, bioinformatics, and project management, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Dr. Sharma’s research has resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals and presentations at prestigious conferences in the USA, Korea, and India. Beyond his scientific work, he is the author of several poetry and non-fiction books, exploring themes of psychology, societal critique, and human connections. An active member of global scientific communities, including the International Society of Paediatric Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the International Society of Liquid Biopsy, Dr. Sharma continues to integrate rigorous research with creativity, striving to make meaningful contributions to both science and society.
