Biography

Dr. Sakshi Varshney is a distinguished academician currently serving as the Associate Head and Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida. With over 17 years of academic and research experience, she has established herself as a mentor, thought leader, and educator in the fields of Finance and Management.

She holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Lucknow University and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management from ICFAI University. Her teaching portfolio includes courses such as Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Economics, Indian Financial System, and Portfolio Management.

Her administrative contributions include serving as the Departmental Coordinator for the last 5 years and as a member of various institutional committees such as OBE, MOOC, Board of Studies, NBA, and NAAC. Dr. Varshney’s interdisciplinary approach, blending academic theory with practical insight, has led her to mentor doctoral scholars and publish extensively in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals. She has played a vital role in institutional development through the organization of Faculty Development Programs, conferences, and academic workshops.

Her commitment to fostering analytical thinking and ethical finance practices continues to shape future finance professionals and researchers.

Research Highlights

Dr. Sakshi Varshney’s research spans cryptocurrency analysis, stock market behavior, institutional investor dynamics, and financial forecasting models. She has various publications in reputed international journals and has successfully supervised 04 Ph.D. scholars in the areas of Bitcoin volatility, Exchange Rate Behavior, Macroeconomic linkages, and Institutional Trading Patterns. Currently, 02 Ph.D. scholars are working under her on the topics of Impact of Skill Mismatch on the Labour Force and Understanding Behavioural Biases in Investment Decision Making.
