Biography

Dr. Ila Naqvi is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Grade I) in the Department of Computer Applications at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida. She holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from Amity University, Noida, awarded in 2024. Her academic qualifications include an Master of Computer Applications (MCA), MBA in Human Resource and Information Technology, and a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA).

Prior to joining JIIT, Dr. Naqvi worked in various academic and consultancy roles, including as a Subject Matter Expert, Academic Consultant, and Academic Research Associate. Her experience includes academic writing and content development in key IT domains such as Java, C++, C#.Net, databases, data structures, and artificial intelligence. She has also contributed to research assignments and supported academic projects on a freelance
and contractual basis.

Research Highlights

Dr. Ila Naqvi’s research primarily focuses on intelligent and secure communication systems, with a particular emphasis on Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs), cybersecurity, intrusion detection, and machine learning.

Her doctoral work at Amity University involved designing novel neuro-genetic and soft computing-based frameworks for misbehavior detection in VANETs, addressing critical security challenges in vehicular communication environments. She has published multiple papers in reputed Scopus and ESCI-indexed journals, as well as in international conference proceedings, including IEEE Xplore, IJACSA, TEM Journal, and Springer LNEE. Her publications explore comparative analyses of intrusion detection techniques, genetic algorithm-optimized models for detecting Denial-of-Service attacks, and the performance evaluation of security frameworks in vehicular networks. These contributions have been recognized for their relevance to the growing field of intelligent transportation systems and automotive cybersecurity.

In addition to her work on network security, Dr. Naqvi has also contributed to interdisciplinary studies examining the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education. Her research in this area includes gap analyses of teacher and student perceptions in engineering education, published in ESCI journals and international conferences. Her continued focus lies in designing lightweight, scalable, and adaptive intrusion detection models that can be deployed in real-time vehicular networks.
