Research Highlights

Dr. Abhishek Kashyap specializes in signal and image processing, machine learning, deep learning, and digital image forensics, with a focus on robust image forgery detection and multimedia authenticity verification. He develops robust, scalable detection frameworks by integrating classical signal processing methods, such as Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), Error Level Analysis (ELA), and statistical texture descriptors with advanced machine learning and optimized deep neural network architectures to uncover subtle manipulation cues like noise inconsistencies, frequency artifacts, and compression traces. His work progressed from handcrafted feature engineering with SVM, Random Forest, and ensemble models to deep learning-based CNN and hybrid systems capable of detecting complex, real-world forgeries. Complementing his algorithmic innovations, he has built real-time detection platforms with React-based interfaces and Flask backends for practical forensic use. Supported by SERB, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, and industry collaborations, his interdisciplinary projects have produced impactful solutions, including UAV detection systems, portable water purification units, and ICU monitoring applications. By combining theoretical rigor with practical deployment, Dr. Kashyap’s work significantly advances the integrity and authenticity of digital media in an era of sophisticated manipulation.
